Our story

While bikepacking through southern Utah to the Grand Canyon, two brothers devised a simple, integrated, weight and space-saving solution to campsite illumination. Born from necessity on the Western Express Bike Route (aka Scenic Byway 12), the LiDON(or Lighted-biDON) combines two essential items every bikepacker, backpacker, camper, and hiker carries; the water bottle and the headlamp. Tired of tripping over our bikes and our gear, we decided to illuminate our site by strapping one of our headlamps to a water bottle, and hung it from a tree, conveniently lighting our entire site with a warm, inviting glow; integrated, convenient, and intuitive.

By combining the two most common items an outdoor enthusiast must carry, the LiDON brings your camping experience into the 21st century. We should have had it this integration all along! Tabs and channels securely hold your headlamp strap in place on the bottle surface, and a recessed cavity underneath neatly tucks the lighted portion underneath and inside, allowing the LiDON to be either hung via our patented Carabiner Loophole, or stood upright on any flat surface at your site.
